Winchmore Wanderers is our summer touring team and we are regular visitors to an international hockey festival in Budapest, Hungary, which takes place each August. Bringing together clubs from the UK and Hungary, the mixed hockey festival is played in great spirit, providing competitive, but fun and friendly hockey, with a round robin format played out on one of the only hockey pitches in Budapest – the Varga Zoltán Sportpálya.

Typically played over the August bank holiday, it’s a great weekend in a beautiful city (and very warm in the middle of summer!), with 2 days of hockey and a chance to sample the cultural delights of Budapest – the thermal baths are not to be missed! Check out our tour report from 2019. Last year we came third and we’re looking forward to returning again this summer!
